In fact, before 1988, I was just your average gun enthusiast. Then, one evening, a group in this case, drive-by shooting spree, I was struck by a sudden and surprising insight. Although I owned firearms and shot them regularly at the track, I was never taught the skills needed for a weapon when you need one most used to defend his life. This revelation began my quest for training and eventually put me under the guidance of instructors in firearms, which at that time, the industry recognized experts. After thirteen weeks of the course and thousands of hours of practice over a period of three years, I thought EXPERT certified in special gun, shotgun, rifle, shotgun and courses. As my know-how developed, I aspired to join the others and thus Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is designed. Then I began to expand the search for my education and development is my vision for Front Sight. My journey took me to many teaching methods and course formats inside and outside the industry of the firearms training under consideration. As I continue developing my plans for the last fire Training Institute, I was looking for special weapons training and found that it was a private citizen such training is almost nonexistent. I was fascinated by the challenge and scope of the audit, so I started a period of six months, the daily physical therapy in an attempt to prevail over what many do not and most do not even attempt the four guns Combat Master Test.
My routine included dry practice with a pistol, shotgun, rifle and machine gun for three to four hours a day, Monday through Friday and then rent a shooting range all day Saturday Live-practice fire drills. When I heard that I was finished, I began testing for certification. I have many times, often only a few points right at the end of the test. For every failed attempt, an improved and I learned more about what it takes, to have someone really possible to train their highest level. In the end, perseverance was the key to success, and I am proud to inform you that on August 28, 1993, I was the second man in the world, save a four weapons Combat Master certificate. With extensive knowledge and experience gained from all the schools I attended and armed the whole world knows that I have trained with instructors, I opened Front Sight Firearms Training Institute with the objective to find and train the warrior in you.
